Learn how the Spektion scores software.

WARNING

Spektion is baselining applications to gather a statistically significant dataset which will allow us to refine the letter grading and ensure our guidance exceeds industry standards. While the risks identified are accurate, letter grades for software may be revised as we gather additional telemetry.

Scoring

Spektion scores are calculated to present an Overall Risk Score as well as Category Risk Scores based on which category each risk detection affects.

• Application: risks are those affecting the software's stability and integrity
• System: risks are those affecting or directly impacting the Operating System
• Data: risks affect data while at rest or in transit
• Identity: risks affect identities, accounts, or credentials

Grading

Spektion letter grades are based on the standard American academia system often associated with grade point averages (GPAs).

C	70-79
