Getting started
Learn about our recommendations for getting the most out of Spektion.
Spektion relies on telemetry gathered by the Spektion Sensor to provide risk analysis of software within your environment. To begin, navigate to the Adminstration pages by visiting the gear (
) icon in the upper-right corner, and select Download Sensor.
Spektion currently supports the following operating systems:
- Windows 10 1903 (19H1) or Newer
- Windows 11, All Versions
- Windows Server 2019
- Windows Server 2022, 'Headless' and 'Desktop Experience'
Spektion requires a stable internet connection to properly send and receive telemetry.
Deployments
There are several methods possible to deploy the Spektion Sensor in your environment:
Once the Spektion Sensor has been deployed you will begin to see Software and Endpoint populate with the Administration pages Manage Software and Manage Endpoint. Additionally, you will begin to see risks displayed on the Dashboard as software is used and telemetry is processed by Spektion.
While the Spektion Sensor is being deployed, we strongly suggest configuring your account to leverage Single Sign-On as your authentication model.
Spektion Directories
In case your organization needs to allow or document endpoint tooling locations, Spektion deploys to the following directories on disk:
- C:\Program Files\Spektion\*
- C:\Windows\SpkData\*
- C:\Windows\System32\spkmon64.dll
- C:\Windows\SysWow64\spkmon.dll
